About the Artwork

Every painting in this collection is a testament to my passion for capturing the wildlife and scenic landscapes of the Mid-Atlantic. Utilizing high-quality acrylic paints, I strive to portray the vibrant colors and intricate details of the region's flora and fauna. The use of kiln-dried, live-edge hardwood plaques as a canvas not only enhances the visual appeal but also ensures the longevity of each piece. The live-edge of the wood adds a unique, organic shape to the canvas, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. Alternatively, some of my works are created on masonite panels, that offer a smooth and durable surface which allows for precise and intricate detailing, making them ideal for capturing the fine elements of wildlife.

To complement the natural essence of the paintings, I frame most artwork with weathered, vintage lumber. This choice of framing material adds an element of history and character, making each piece truly unique. Some of the older pieces in this collection have been particularly difficult for me to part with, as they represent significant milestones in my career. However, due to health reasons, I have decided to reduce my participation in art shows and instead offer these works for sale on my website.
